Happy 2015! The move and new job are settling down, so new recipes are coming! I hope everyone is having a great New Year so far. Now let’s talk dip-pizza dip to be exact.
This dip was by far the favorite item at my Big Game party. You don’t need a football championship as a reason to make this dip-a weekend gathering, a sleepover for the kids, or just as a fun snack to put together while watching a movie. You can even make this the day before, throw it in the fridge and bake to melty goodness before the guests arrive. Pizza dip-because there is never enough pizza in our lives.
Double this recipe if you are having a lot of people over
Pizza Dip

Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese at room temp
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning divided
- 2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ⅓ cup pizza sauce
- ½ cup red pepper chopped thin
- ½ cup green pepper chopped thin
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- In a bowl combine cream cheese, garlic, and ½ tsp Italian seasoning mixing well
- In bottom of 9 inch casserole dish, spread cream cheese mixture evenly
- Combine cheeses and sprinkle half over cream cheese mixture
- With a spoon drizzle pizza sauce over cheese
- Top with red and green pepper and cover with remaining cheese and seasoning
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and brown
- Serve warm with tortilla chips
- If serving next day keep covered in fridge until ready to bake, adding about five minutes to cook time

I love pizza dip! I made one for an Oscar party a couple of years ago now. What I like most about this dip is how you can easily customize it to suit dietary needs.
