This glaze. Oh my lordy. It is great over steak, would be insane on some buttermilk mashed potatoes. Takes few ingredients and a little bit of time. You will thank me later. Also seen on Foodgawker
1 T minced garlic
1 cup mushrooms, chopped in big bite size pieces
3/4-1 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
On stove heat garlic on medium high heat for about a minute. Add mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes or until they start to get tender
Add balsamic vinegar and let simmer, adding water if need to thin about some. Salt and pepper are added next to taste. Let reduce for about 10 minutes, and pour on top of meat, vegetables, or the above mentioned mashed potatoes. Enjoy
