Dreamsicle Martini

This taste just like the name implies-dreamy. You get a nice froth from the orange juice/cream mixture, with a smooth yet mildly spicy finish with the sorbet and cinnamon. Great summer drink for a backyard bbq, or ladies night on the patio. *Recipe can also be seen in the Spoonful of Foodies e-book

1 pint orange sorbet (I was fancy and used blood orange sorbet)

Clementine vodka

3 egg whites

zest of an orange

12 oz can frozen orange juice thawed

6 oz whole milk

6 oz heavy cream

¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp sugar

ice cubes

Make meringue first-beat three egg whites and orange zest in a stand mixer until stiff peaks, set aside

Combine orange juice, milk, cream, cinnamon, and sugar into a shaker (I used a mason jar) and shake until frothy and combined

To make one drink use 3 scoops sorbet, ½ oz clementine vodka, 1 oz orange juice poured into glass by place a spoon long ways over the top of the glass and pouring mixture over it so it flows nicely. You can blend in the blender with 3 ice cubes, or just drink it as is. Use martini glasses, add a dollop of meringue and a little curl of orange peel to finish it off.

I have meringue issues, so I would leave that off. Leaving that aside, this looks like a fun drink! Great job!

I am totally trying this. I used to love dreamsicles when I was a kid and I know how awesome this must be!
