Those three magic words - milk. chocolate. frosting. It’s good people, and easy. Make it. Go forth and frost things. Made with Plugra Butter, so you get that butter deliciousness that only real butter can give you.
This makes about 3 cups worth of frosting, so half this recipe if you need to.
Milk Chocolate Frosting

Serves: 3 cups
Ingredients
- 16 oz (one pound) milk chocolate chips
- 4 sticks unsalted butter (I use Plugra) at room temp
- Pinch of kosher salt
- 1- 1½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave or over a double boiler and let cool for 10 minutes
- Cream butter, salt and powdered sugar in electric mixer, starting on low and increasing to medium speed for 5-7 minutes
- Decrease speed to low and add melted chocolate and combine well
- Add sour cream and mix until completely incorporated
- Frost dessert right away or keep in fridge for up to two more days
- Can be frozen for up to three months, brought to room temp and whisk to desired thickness (add milk to thin out if necessary)
